Felt a Wool Bag (3 Day) | October 13 - 15, 2023

This is a 3 session in-person workshop.

DATES/TIMES

Friday - Sunday, October 13 - 15, 2023;

10am - 5pm each day with a one hour lunch break.

COST

$350 at time of registration; plus a $30 materials fee paid in cash directly to the instructor the first day of the class.

LEVEL

Open to beginners and those who have felted before who need a refresher or want to learn new techniques.

MATERIALS (additional $30 paid direct to instructor)

All materials will be provided.

DETAILS

Make a wet felt, wool bag. Students will learn to draft wool roving over a template for shaping the bag and adding pockets, how to wet and layer the roving for a strong felt, how to turn the wetted wool and template that will result in a hollow object, how to process the wool into a strong hardened felt, ways of embellishing the outside of the bag, how to cut the opening that will result in a useful bag.

Ages: 12+
Skill Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time.
