Intermediate. Confidence with casting on, knit, and purl. Helpful to have experience with knitting stripes, but not required.

MATERIALS - students will receive 10% off when they purchase materials from us! Must mention that you're in the class to staff to receive discount.

• See pattern for yardage. Fingering weight held double OR sport weight (may vary based on gauge - we'll help you calculate in the first class).
• US 4 40"+ circular (ribbing of body and sleeves)
• US 6 16"+ circular (sleeves)
• US 7 24" circular or straights (squares that will form the body)

DETAILS

This cardigan is a must have in your wardrobe! It's cute, classic and full of character. Use scraps for an eclectic mixture of colors, or plan it from scratch! Each "quilted" square is knit individually using stranded colorwork where you'll knit with two colors across a row. Then you'll seem together all of the squares to form the body, and pick up stitches to complete the sleeves.

We'll guide you through selecting yarns, planning colors, stranded colorwork, seaming and picking up stitches!

• Have an idea of yarns/colors for the first class, but we'll help consult! Having somewhat of an idea prior to class will be really helpful. We recommend testing colors together using paper and color pencils/crayons. The pattern uses 6 colors but you may use as little or many as you like.
