All materials are included. Needle felting foam and tools are for use during the workshop and can be purchased after class directly from the instructor (please bring cash for this).

DETAILS

Suitable for the novice felter, we learn in this fun and informative class how to create a solid wool base from core wool using dry needle felting techniques and turn it into a charming blooming cactus plant set into a clay pot that is guaranteed to never die! Skills learned in this workshop include the following. 

• How to work with needle felting tools
• The nature of wool and how dry needle felting works
• Establishing a solid woolen form, learning to create a substructure that will not collapse over time
• Sculpt your form into a desired shape
• Color mixing wool roving
• Applying color to your shaped form
• Adding small needle felted details
• Attaching additional forms or added fabrics to your needle felted form so the two will not separate
• Sewing into your needle felted form to give added details

Optional: You may purchase the felting pad and needles to take home with you. Please bring cash to purchase from the instructor directly.
