Level 1 - Beginners. No experience necessary.

MATERIALS (NOT included - please arrive 1/2 hr early to purchase your materials and wind the yarn.)

Please note we offer 2 different project choices, so materials will vary based on your project. We will show you all the different yarn choices! Materials prices range from $20 - $40 depending on the quality of yarn you choose.

Straight Scarf or Cowl (recommended for true beginners)

• YARN - 100 grams of Wool/Acrylic Keystone Worsted Yarn (medium weight) or Malabrigo Rasta Super Bulky yarn (super thick weight)
• NEEDLES - US10 straight knitting needle for worsted yarn or US13 for Super Bulky Yarn
• 1 large tapestry needle
  

Shaped Bandana Cowl (recommended for those who have knit before - even if only a little!) 

• YARN - 100 grams of wool yarn - &Make Aran (medium weight) or &Make Super Bulky (super thick weight)
• NEEDLES US10 24" knitting needle for Aran yarn or US13 for Super Bulky Yarn
• 1 large tapestry needle
• 1 removeable stitch marker

DETAILS

Hey there new knitter! This class is the perfect introduction for the brand new knitter, or a great way to refresh the basics. We focus on casting on, the knit stitch and binding off. Students will have the choice to make a straight scarf or cowl, or a shaped bandana cowl.

 We recommend true beginnings start with a straight project, and those who have knit before and are taking this class as a refresher make the shaped bandana cowl.
