COMMUNITY FOCUSED

Fibershed - A non-profit organization that supports local fiber systems including farmers, grazing communites, dyers, designers and makers. Offers workshops and events.

West Marin Woolshed - A marketplace to purchase local fiber supplies and finished goods.

Redwood Guild of Fiber Arts - Local fiber guild that meets in Santa Rosa the 1st Wednesday of every month. $35 Membership/Yr

Pacific Textile Art Center - Community center in Fort Bragg that offers workshops, membership, gatherings and art exhibits in the area of fiber arts. $15 Membership/Yr

Richmond Arts Center - Workshops, membership and gallery exhibits in various arts including weaving. 

SUPPLIES

Dharma Trading Company - Dyeing supplies and online information. Store in San Rafael or order by phone and pick up at Petaluma warehouse. 

MILLS

Valley Oak Wool & Fiber Mill - Wool processing mill in Woodland. Cleans, cards and spins.

Lost Coast Spinnery - Wool processing mill in Fernbridge. Can process wool, goat, alpaca, yak & other exotic fibers from their raw state into roving, batts & yarn. They have a de-hairing machine for alpaca fibers.
