This is a 1 session in-person workshop.
October 23, 2021; 11am - 5pm
Open to beginners and those who have explored inkle weaving in the past but may want a refresher or learn new techniques.
Yarn and patterns included. Students must supply their own loom, OR rent/purchase one at online checkout.
Welcome to the land of inkle weaving!
Annie MacHale, a weaver based in New Mexico, will be making a special trip to the studio to share her incredible inkle weaving knowledge! She has recently published two wonderful books on color and design for the inkle loom! Books will be available to purchase directly from her in class. Please bring cash or check.
This class will provide you with color and design theory for warp-faced bandweaving. Students will create their own pattern (if desired, or select from existing designs), warp the loom, and begin weaving on their project.
Finished bands are used as belts, bag or guitar straps, hat bands, keychains and more!
Skill Requirements: None
Taught by: Annie MacHale
