Students should have basic experience on either a rigid heddle or shaft loom required. Students must come with their loom (or a rented loom) pre-warped. 

DETAILS

Join us for a fun, pick up lace weaving class for both rigid heddle weavers and shaft loom weavers.  Learn new skills and weave a lovely lace wall hanging! This is a great way to work "outside of the box".

You will learn warp manipulated lace weaves such as Leno Lace, Brooks Bouquet, Spanish Lace, Danish Medallion, and more. 

MATERIALS & HOMEWORK

Students must pre warp their looms as for weaving plain weave with approximately 2-3 yards of smooth, not textured, cotton, linen, wool or other strong blends of fibers. Warps should be at least 8 " wide. Wefts may be the same yarn as warp or a variety of other yarns, weights, textures and colors.

Students may either bring their own assembled, ready to use loom, or rent/purchase one from the shop. Rentals and purchases must be arranged ahead of time so students can pre-warp their looms before class.

NOTE: We have a limited number of looms to rent, so please be sure to select the appropriate option at check out!! If you need to purchase a loom, please call or come in to the shop, or you may purchase online for pick up.

Ages: 18+
Skill Requirements: Basic weaving experience on a rigid heddle or shaft loom. Can warp your own loom.
