COST

$105 per session  +$12 for machine rental per session 

LEVEL

Beginner friendly, but you should know how to operate a sewing machine

MATERIALS (class will include straps and hardware - students need to bring the list below)

• Tote Bag: Half yard each of two medium to heavy weight cotton canvas or home decor fabric. Natural cotton webbing will be provided for straps.
  
  
  Dopp Kit: Fat quarter (18” x 22”) each of two medium to heavy weight cotton canvas or home decor fabric, and a 14” zipper. Lining may be a lighter weight quilting cotton. Natural cotton webbing will be provided for straps.
  
  
  Crossbody Bag: Quarter yard each of two medium to heavy weight cotton canvas or home decor fabric, and a 12” zipper. Lining may be a lighter weight quilting cotton. Natural cotton webbing and all hardware for straps will be provided.
  
  
  All Projects: 
  - Universal machine needle size 14 (for medium weight fabrics) or 16 (for heavy weight fabrics)
  - Matching all-purpose thread
  - All fabric should be prewashed and ironed before class

DETAILS

This three-part sewing series will focus on building your sewing skills while making a variety of bags. You will learn how to enclose and finish seams, install a zipper, attach pockets, straps and buckles.  Each week we will introduce new sewing terms and techniques that you will get to apply to weekly in-class projects.

Ages: 18+
Skill Requirements: Know how to use a machine.
