MATERIALS (class will include straps - students need to bring the list below)

• Fat quarter (18” x 22”) each of two medium to heavy weight cotton canvas or home decor fabric, and a 14” zipper. Lining may be a lighter weight quilting cotton.** Natural cotton webbing will be provided for straps.
• Universal machine needle size 14 (for medium weight fabrics) or 16 (for heavy weight fabrics).
• Matching all-purpose thread.
• All fabric should be pre-washed and ironed before class.

DETAILS

Make a very versatile toiletry bag (AKA Dopp Kit) for the holidays. This highly giftable bag is unisex and can be used to carry craft tools, toiletries, even knitting projects on the go. In this three-hour class, students will learn how to make a lined, boxy bag with enclosed seams, install a zipper and sew french seams.
