Join Fiber Circle Studio for a custom textile retreat in the Sacred Valley of Peru!
October 22nd - 28th, 2023
EAT - SPIN - DYE - WEAVE - EXPLORE
We'll be working side-by-side with Andean artisans, dyeing wool yarn completely sourced from the region, spinning and plying on a drop spindle, and creating your own back strap wall hanging! You'll get to take home 3 large skeins of naturally dyed yarn, your own handspun, and your finished woven backstrap project. We'll have the opportunity to shop incredible, handmade items from the artisans we're working with. In addition to the textiles themselves, we'll be joining the community for an Alpaca Ceremony in the high Andes!
The hotel we're staying at is absolutely breathtaking with spacious rooms and comfortable beds, the food we'll be eating is gourmet Peruvian, plus a Pachamanca lunch (prepared in an earth oven in the community of Patacancha). All of our transportation is covered, and we'll have the opportunity to explore Inca ruins, the Maras Salt Mines and the town just below Macchu Pichu; Ollantayambo.
This experience is open to all levels of fiber artists, including beginners! We have organized this retreat to be friendly for a multitude of people, offering introductory material for new fiber artists and more in depth material and opportunities for more advanced fiber artists.
A detailed itinerary will be shared upon registration. Food restrictions and allergies will be accomodated to the best of our ability. We will reach out to acquire each particpants information after registration.
Price Includes
- All in country transportation between October 22 and 28.
- All meals from start to end of the itinerary.
- Lodging October 22 - 28.
- Natural dyeing, spinning, weaving workshops and materials!
- Entrance to Maras Salt Flats
Airfare is not included, however we will reach out after registration with suggested flights.
Pricing - be sure to check the combination of room type and deposit type before registering! We offer a 50% deposit or pay in full option at registration.

In the event that a Trip Participant wishes to cancel their booking for this experience the following terms and conditions shall apply:
The Trip Participant must notify Fiber Circle Studio in writing, of their desire to cancel. The following conditions shall apply with respect to refunds for cancellations:

If the Trip Participant cancels at least 65 days prior to the first day of the retreat, their non-refundable deposit of 50% is retained, and 50% of any other payments already made by the Trip Participant will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee, with the exception of any non-refundable purchases made on the Trip Participants behalf. Deadline: August 15, 2023.

If the Trip Participant cancels within 65 days of the first day of the retreat, the non-refundable deposit as well as all payments made by the Trip Participant will not be refunded.
Once the deposit is collected, all additional payments are due at least 65 days prior to the first day of the retreat. Fiber Circle Studio reserves the right to cancel participation resulting in the loss of all money collected if any outstanding payment is not received by 11:59 p.m. PST on the 65th day prior to the start of the retreat.
If Fiber Circle Studio or Aula Artesana is forced to cancel or significantly alter your trip, we will notify the Trip Participant in writing as soon as possible. In these circumstances, the Trip Participant may choose any one of the following options:
1) Accept a credit for the amount you’ve paid towards a future experience with Fiber Circle Studio or Aula Artesana; or
2) Receive a refund of all money paid
If, for any reason, the Trip Participant leaves a trip once it has commenced, Fiber Circle Studio and Aula Artesana are not obliged to issue any refund, credit or compensation.
Due to the foregoing cancellation and refund policy, Fiber Circle Studio and Aula Artesana strongly recommends that each Trip Participant purchase travel insurance.
Any requests for refunds due to cancellation are at the sole discretion of Fiber Circle Studio.
Please be sure to check the CDC website for recommended vaccines and travel records. Aula Artesana and Fiber Circle Studio are requiring Covid vaccination. All partners we will be working with are vaccinated.
We highly recommend getting travel insurance through Allianz Travel Insurance.
