My First Knitted Sweater | January 18 - April 12, 2025

This is a 5 session in-person workshop.

DATES/TIME

5 Saturdays;  January 18 - April 12, 2025; 2:00 - 4:00pm

Session 1 (Jan 18). This session will be for choosing yarn in individual 30 minute time slots between 1:30 and 4:30. We will send out an email prior to the first class to assign time slots. All other sessions will be held from 2-4pm. 

Sessions 2-5: January 28, February 22, March 22, April 12; 2:00-4:00pm

LEVEL

Advanced beginner. Comfortable with knit and purl, knitting in the round, and basic pattern reading.

MATERIALS (not included)

The first session on January 18 will be for choosing materials. Please see note about under the DATE/TIME section for more info.

HOMEWORK

Determine which pattern you would like to make and purchase.

Come and knit your first sweater with all the technical support and encouragement you need over a relaxed timeline. We will create a sweater you will wear with style and satisfaction for many years to come. From picking your yarn to finishing your sweater, Gayle will be by your side all the way and you will leave with a beautiful garment and feeling prepared to knit sweaters with confidence.

Ages: 18+
Skill Requirements: Knit, purl, knitting in the round, basic pattern reading.
