All materials are included. Needle felting foam and tools are for use during the workshop and can be purchased after class directly from the instructor (please bring cash for this).

DETAILS

Explore the creative pleasure of wool painting a landscape. We will gather around a communal table with piles of soft colorful wool roving, pre-made rustic wood frames, and watercolors as templates.

No art experience required – Meredith will guide you through the process of painting with wool fibers and a needle. By the end of class you'll have a ‘ready to hang’ piece of fiber art to take home!

Skills learned in this workshop include the following. 

• How to work with needle felting tools
• The nature of wool and how dry needle felting works
• Color mixing wool roving
• Applying layers of wool to create illusion and dimension on a flat felt landscape
• Framing your finished piece
