Beginner/Advanced Beginners who have made mistakes in their knitting and want to learn how to fix them!
MATERIALS
- Light colored wool yarn (ideally worsted or bulky weight)
- Crochet hook (similar in size to knitting needle used for swatches)
- Tapestry Needle + waste yarn
DETAILS
End your knitting sailor days! How often do you find yourself saying, “$#!t” and grumbling about how you messed up again? Well we can’t control that the mistakes get made or how often, however we CAN control how you react to them. Rather than exclaiming a slew of curse words and abandoning ship, this class will have you ready to tackle those pesky dropped stitches and more! We share with you our favorite techniques on how to “rip out”, avoiding utter knitting devastation and help you gain confidence in fixing your knitting mistakes!
HOMEWORK
Complete 2 swatches in a light colored, heavier weight yarn (recommended worsted or bulky weight).
Cast on 20 stitches
Swatch #1: Garter (all knit)
Swatch #2: Stockinette (knit a row, purl a row)
Work each swatch for about 3-4 inches.
DO NOT BIND OFF!
