LEVEL

Advanced beginner - should have experience making basic garments

MATERIALS (not included)

Please bring following materials:

• Sewing machine - bring your own or rent one from us! If you bring your own, please also bring the manual
• Size 12 needle
• Thread
• 3 yards in light- to mid-weight linen, cotton or cotton blend fabric. Please pre-wash and iron the fabric before the class.

*Materials included: Pattern drafting paper, interfacing and elastic

DETAILS

This two-session dress class builds on the skills acquired in the Wardrobe Basics boxy top class. Students will learn how to convert the boxy top pattern to create a dress with a with a gathered skirt and different necklines. Students can also apply skills acquired in previous classes in this series to their dress. By the end of this class, students will have a custom made dress and a reusable dress pattern.
