LEVEL

Advanced beginner - should have experience making basic garments

MATERIALS (not included)

Please bring following materials:

• Sewing machine - bring your own or rent one from us! If you bring your own, please also bring the manual
• Size 12 needle
• Thread
• 2.5 yds of either mid weight linen, cotton or cotton blend. Please pre-wash and iron the fabric before the class.
• 6-8 buttons ( 5/8"-7/8" diameter)

*Materials included: Pattern drafting paper, interfacing and elastic

DETAILS

This two-session skirt class builds on the skills acquired in Wardrobe Basics skirt class, adding a button placket, flat front waist with an elasticated back. Students will draft a pattern for their gathered or pleated skirt, with the option of adding patch or in-seam pockets. By the end of this class, students will have a custom made skirt and a reusable skirt pattern.
